Have to migrate website to a new server!

I have just been notified that my hosting service for the past 5 years is getting out of the hosting business so I have to move everything to a new server. With that in mind September's posting will be a bit delayed....check back after Labor Day!

We've been experiencing a 10 heat wave here in the Northwest. Seattle set an all time high and here in Portland we missed our high by 1 degree, but the length of consecutive days above 100 may have beaten the records. We mostly don't have air conditioning in our homes as we hardly ever use it so I have been a prisoner of the basement!

This blog posting is in honor of my granddaughter Haley who was just visiting for two weeks. She has taken lessons in and enjoys Bangra dancing and she and her cousin Hilary performed a Bangra dance to go along with the Indian food feast at our son David's wedding three summers ago--so I guess this is also in honor of David and Lorie's wedding anniversary this month.

Well, hopefully we are back on track--but then one never knows what is waiting around the corner. We still are working on moving up and resettling my husband's mother from Albuquerque to Portland and I have grandkids arriving next week for two weeks -- but barring any unforeseen calamities I should be able to changeout our specials every two weeks or so.
